Truck Driver Class A

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures as outlined in the Company Driver's Handbook and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (DOT).

  • Perform required vehicle safety inspections before, during and after dispatch.

  • Immediately report all accidents involving company equipment to appropriate manager.

  • Comply with Federal and State mandated traffic laws and established company safety procedures.

  • Maintain basic familiarity and compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Timely delivery of equipment and basic upkeep of the truck/equipment

  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork

  • Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time

  • Valid Class A CDL license with T endorsement.

  • DOT Medical Card (Regulated Drug screen and DOT Physical)

  • Minimum of 3 years of tractor trailer driving experience or 2 years experience with proof of graduation from an accredited commercial driving school

  • Clean driver record.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Language Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

  • Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

  • Reasoning Ability - Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
