Our History

 

The company was founded in 1998 by Michael Farrow. Michael was exposed to heavy equipment and construction work at an early age. His father owned a demolition company and began teaching him how to operate different machines as early as 7 years old.

Michael became a heavy equipment operator and worked on various construction sites and projects. Over time, he became frustrated with the unpredictability of work so he decided to start his own company.

Michael was gifted an excavator by someone who was inspired by his vision.  Shortly thereafter, he purchased an old dump truck. After going from job site to job site and making cold calls, he bid on a job and was the lowest qualified bidder which resulted in a contract to demolish a closed fuel station on the west side of Detroit. Since that time, Farrow Group has grown to a full service, full scale company servicing public and private clients locally and nationally.
